- during the daytime
The best way to admire the beauty of the natural features of the Island of Capri
is from the sea! We suggest a motor boat tour of the Isle. Tickets can easily be
purchased at the reception of the hotel.
For the naturalist fans we suggest the chairlift to Monte Solaro,
highest point of the Island, from where it is possible to admire a panorama with
no equal over Capri and the whole bay of Naples. For the trekking fans, we suggest
an excursion along via Krupp, which connects the famous Piazzetta
to the Beach of Marina Piccola, or the Tour of the Fortini, which
connects between themselves the four antique fortified towers of the Islands.
Not to miss, the cultural attractions like the Villa San Michele,
home of the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe and today museum and green
park; or the Certosa of San Giacomo with its cloister and art gallery,
where paintings of ‘800 are preserved; and finally the ruins of the Villa Jovis,
which was the Summer residence of the Roman Emperor Tiberius.
- at night
From the late afternoon to the evening, before the long night of fun, the aperitif
in Piazzetta is a custom you cannot miss.
A suggestive atmosphere is proposed by the Concerts at Sunset,
events organized by the councils of Capri and Anacapri, with the presence of International
artists. One of the favorites is the E..state con noi, a contest
of performances of groups of different nationalities. Not to miss are the evenings
in Piazza with the patron Saints festivals and the local folk groups performances,
and events such as Capri Holiwood and the Settembrata (known as the Grape festival).
Capri By-Night is famous world-wide and proposes a series of attractions
and fun for everyone such as the club "Anema e Core",
a live music with Guido Lembo and his band or the music evenings
at the "Guarracino" and the "Lanterna Verde".
